The Business Development / Member Success role will be a critical role that will allow you to contribute to both organic growth among our existing members and to grow through the recruitment of new members, by delivering value in areas beyond the scope of operations and supervision. We are looking for a person who can personify the values of Prosperity and apply their creativity in creating a community. We expect you as the Business Development/Member Success to drive competitive results with impactful ideas and connectedness with our members.
To be successful, you should have:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business or Finance preferred or equivalent experience.
· 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
· Ability to maintain relationships internally and externally.
· Attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation practices.
· Ability to manage competing demands.
· Adherence to policies and procedures while recognizing and solving unique situations.
· Redtail experience preferred.
· Series 7 licensing preferred.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
The Business Development / Member Success role and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to::
Existing Member Growth & Experience
· Create and foster community with Prosperity members and Cetera Advisor reps and promote the use of Prosperity’s OSJ and broker/dealer tools and services to drive growth.
· Communicate with key members to assist with challenges and opportunities that have a high relevance in their practices.
· Develop relationships with people who can make a difference to Prosperity and our members, both within and outside of the broker/dealer.
· Be well versed on the many resources available through the broker/dealer, raise awareness in members of broker/dealer service offerings, advocate for our members with the team at the broker/dealer, and match needs to resources.
· Facilitate education for best practices in practice management among members and their staff to create efficiencies and improvements in their processes.
· Identify members who lack a succession and/or continuity plan, promote the necessity of a plan, match members up with a successor, and assist in facilitating the execution of the plan.
· Spearhead OSJ events, both remote and onsite, such as Level Up, Prosperity Connect, and Discover Prosperity.
· Lead book clubs that engage members to participate in discussions relevant to practice management and growth.
· Contribute to the creation and delivery of Practice Development Library tools to be shared with members and raise awareness of these tools.
· Identify opportunities to add value to our members and facilitate the delivery of services.
· Serve as a conduit for networking among members so that members can consider each other a resource to address challenges and opportunities as they present themselves.
· Work with Prosperity Advisors’ PRG and Qualified Plans teams to communicate the value proposition to members.
Drive Growth Through Recruiting
· Recruitment of new members independent of, and collaborative with, Cetera’s business development division.
· Develop relationships with Cetera internal and third-party recruiters to gain access to recruiting opportunities.
· Work with Prosperity senior leadership to deliver a competitive recruiting experience and consistent follow-through that is well documented, tracked, and reported, keeping leadership apprised of opportunity statuses and needs.
· Gain a thorough understanding of the recruiting and transition process and issues a transitioning advisor must consider, including but not limited to affiliation pricing, advisory platform features, and pricing.
· Be familiar with the offerings of other broker-dealers that are competing for advisors.
· Be the point of contact for an advisor being recruited from the time of introduction to the firm through onboarding with Prosperity.
· Coordinate storytelling tools including our online, email pipeline generation, and social media avenues.
· Maintain long-term relationships with recruits, ensuring consistent follow-up and proactive outreach to keep the lines of communication open. Remain aware of their individual situations and where they are at in their decision-making process, making Prosperity their firm of choice and identifying when is the right time for them to change broker/dealers.
· Be able to act quickly when a potential member has a time-sensitive reason to change broker/dealers and an expeditious process is warranted.
· Assist and participate in the recruiting of potential members who are being recruited to join an existing member’s practice.
· Maintain consistent Redtail processes and documentation for potential recruits.
· Work cooperatively with Prosperity Operations, Compliance, and Alignment Teams to help ensure transition readiness for new members.
Miscellaneous
· Implementation and completion of special projects as assigned.
· Act as a liaison between the company, broker-dealer, vendors, and OSJ members.
· Assist management as needed in day-to-day operations.
· Travel as needed.
