Business Intelligence Developer – Remote U.S.

Our client is an innovative software and services company that is well-established in the Telecommunications Management and Expense Management marketplace. Their products have been used around the world for over 30 years. They are seeking a customer-focused problem-solver to expand their engineering team.

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, you will develop, troubleshoot and modify web-based and back-end Windows and RDBMS software applications.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years professional database experience involving SQL or Oracle
  • SQL Server Reporting Service (SRSS) is required
  • Experience using Power BI
  • Able to configure and build connections in Oracle or SQL database
  • Must be strong in extracting, transforming, loading (ETL) procedures
  • Security clearance and telecommunications industry experience are desirable.

Your responsibilities as the Business Intelligence Developer will include:

  • Performs application, ETL, reporting and data visualization development, troubleshooting and testing of Windows-based Product software in accordance with objectives, priorities, schedules and standards.
  • Interacts internally and externally to understand customer objectives and assist with identifying suitable software implementation approaches and operational procedures.
  • Contributes subject matter expertise to support coworkers involved in the product lifecycle support including front-line customer care, deployment, security hardening and sales engineering.
  • Performs data conversion/ETL, product configuration, report and dashboard tailoring and performance tuning.
  • Provides technical guidance for cross-department collaborations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Business Unit’s supervisor.
