Business Technology Analyst, Financial Operations

We are currently seeking a Business Technology Analyst, Financial Operations to join our team. This position is responsible for planning and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.


Responsibilities:

• Develops, maintains and enhances custom reports using report writing software.

• Uses various reporting tools to develop Gross Profit Operations (GPO) reports that transform data into information upon which management can base strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency.

• Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.

• Offers accurate and timely delivery of reporting requests and related services that result in enhanced processes.

• Gathers information on issues, utilizes problem solving ability to provide solutions, meets deadlines and provides general support in order to meet user’s needs.

• Consults with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting and security requirements.

• Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.

• Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.

• Tests applications and assists in the implementation of new systems or updates to existing systems. Designs, administers and maintains databases for GPO.

• Collaborates with internal personnel to improve processes, implement changes to processes or programs in order to maximize efficiency.

• Works as a team member to maintain the highest levels of quality and productivity.


Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) from two-year College or technical school is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• One to three years related experience and/or training is required.

• Ability to understand advanced mathematical concepts including statistical analysis. Ability to develop measurable and quantifiable solutions using percentages, ratios and proportions.

• Ability to apply principals of logical thinking to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts and provide possible solutions for issue resolution.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Excellent communication, writing and high levels demonstrated customer service skills.

• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships and interacts effectively with a wide range of people.

• Capable self-starter able to work as a team and independently, be innovative and actively seek new or better methods for making processes more efficient. Looks for way to improve and promote quality.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software, report writing software and Database software.
