Corporate HR Compliance Manager
We are currently seeking a Corporate HR Compliance Manager to join our team.


This position is responsible for managing a broad array of Human Resources compliance programs.
Partners across Corporate HR to drive compliance initiatives and programs. Stays abreast of existing
and proposed federal, state, and local employment laws/legislation. Works closely with Legal to mitigate
compliance related risk, develops and implement actions to ensure compliance while ensuring our
policies and practices comply with all EEO and other government legal requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Assesses, creates, and implements a system and process to ensure corporate compliance with local laws, rules, and regulations in current and new employee markets.
  • Researches new employment legislation, plans and coordinates plan implementation, communicates with impacted employees and leaders, and maintains records as appropriate.
  • Provides Corporate Employee Relations team updates on new legislation or changes, implementation plan and potential employee impact. Crafts and sends communication to supervisors and employees as appropriate.
  • Provides guidance to Corporate Talent Acquisition regarding background checks and other compliance/risk related matters.
  • Partners with Corporate Human Capital Development team and serves as the subject matter expert for new hire and annual compliance training.
  • Maintains employee handbook, updates guidelines and policies, and conducts annual reviews, makes recommendations for updates based on changes in state and federal laws.
  • Manages and oversees project management and coordination with other teams, including Corporate
  • Payroll, Safety Services, Legal, etc.
  • Drafts, modifies, and implements company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and delivers compliance-based communications and trainings to employees.
  • Develops and oversee Corporate Human Resources compliance programs to prevent or mitigate violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Conducts compliance health checks and revises procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify and remedy hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
  • Provides consultation and subject matter expertise in other compliance areas such as I-9 and EVerify compliance and best practices, and personnel file maintenance.
  • Partners with Human Resources COE to stay aligned on compliance related matters.
  • Serves as liaison between Immigration Law Firm and various departments that employ sponsored employees.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in Human Resources or compliance is required.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
  • Ability to review federal, state, and local laws and regulations and make changes to company policies, objectives, and procedures including developing, organizing, and implementing new policies and procedures to comply with those laws.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, new procedures, and processes to team members and to other company personnel, including the expected impact to the Company.
  • Ability to establish working relationships and interacting effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Problem solving ability; dealing with conflicts and problems constructively; communicating and presenting ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Comfortable with technology solutions such as Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint, and company developed systems.
  • Travel up to 5% of time
