Employee Benefits Analyst
We are currently seeking a Employee Benefits Analyst to join our team.
This position provides consultative and reporting support to Insperity clients while ensuring adherence to all plan regulatory requirements including ERISA, IRS, PPACA, federal and state laws. This position also works closely with Health & Welfare management to implement changes and improvements to benefits systems, reports, and programs as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision and moderate decision-making:
- Provides analytical and consultative support on employer shared responsibility requirements to key stakeholders within the client organization.
- Monitors accurate application of complex special provisions providing exceptions to the hours of service determination and stability period for applicable breaks in service, leaves of absence and employees of educational organizations
- Tracks and reports to management client level decisions relating to employer shared responsibility requirements.
- Oversees accurate utilization of benefits eligibility classifications.
- Monitors state specific eligibility requirements for clients operating within multiple states. Provides support in complying with state and federal benefits offerings and eligibility reporting requirements.
- Responds to inbound employee benefits offerings, enrollment inquiries, and eligibility verification requests.
- Records and fulfills employee requests for benefits related documents, i.e. Exchange Notifications, Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary of Benefits and Coverage, etc.
- Maintains subject matter expertise of Insperity’s benefit plans and eligibility guidelines.
- Conducts benefit plan eligibility and enrollment audits with internal and external auditors and vendors.
- Tests benefits system requirements to ensure data integrity.
- Assists in the accomplishment of Insperity Company goals.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
- Five years of benefits administration experience is required.
- Knowledge of ERISA, DOL regulations, HIPAA, COBRA, IRS section 125 and PPACA.
- Able to provide superior customer-focused interaction while communicating complex benefits information.
- Strong written and oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action, address conflicts and problems constructively using unique and creative approaches to problem solving.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
