As the HR Manager, you will work closely with Bradford’s Operations Team across more than a dozen states. You will have broad responsibilities encompassing all aspects of human resources and will report directly to the Co-CEO.  The Human Resources Manager position offers great growth potential in the more strategic aspects of HR and will have frequent interaction with BAL’s Executive Team.  Bradford is an innovative, growing company, and the leader in our industry.  We are proud to be innovators in workplace culture and to have a robust management development program. 
To be successful, you should have:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the HR field (multiple HR disciplines preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • HR Certification preferred such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Availability to work as needed on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Up to 25% travel (typically by air) to BAL facilities throughout the U.S.
  • Minimum of 2 years managing teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS type systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

The responsibilities of the Human Resources (HR) Manager will include:

  • Collaborates with the Executive  Team to understand and execute the organization’s human resources and talent strategy including recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements required policies, processes, training and initiatives to support the organization’s human resources compliance and strategy needs.
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate needed changes in policy, practice, and resources.
  • Provides support and guidance to management and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive issues arise; may be required to administer and execute otherwise routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Counsels operations management in best people practices and meets with supervisors proactively.
  • Partner in the recruitment of new teammates and interviewing management candidates.
  • Administer Benefits (Specifically 401K enrollments, changes, etc).
  • Manage the preparation of the Form 5500 for the  401K audit.
  • Assists supervisors and high potential individuals with their Professional Development Plans.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensures all safety and federal/state regulatory standards are posted at each facility.
  • Demonstrates and support BAL’s Core Values.
  • Exhibits alignment with BAL’s Leadership Culture Map.
  • Other duties as assigned.
