We are currently seeking someone with strong, Human Resources generalist skills to join our Insperity team. In this role, a Human Resource Specialist you will be responsible for the development and delivery of customized HR solutions for an assigned group of Insperity clients. You will play an integral part in developing and supporting clients’ human capital strategy while navigating compliance requirements and government reporting regulations impacting their business. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring two in-office days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides best in class HR Consultation and support through all phases of the employee lifecycle (recruiting, onboarding, total rewards employee engagement, training and development, talent management, employee relations and termination) to help client drive results, while mitigating human capital risk.
  • Navigate federal and multistate labor laws to ensure client compliance, as well as streamlined policies and procedures.
  • Use knowledge from various HR disciplines to help identify the application and impact on clients’ business, i.e., benefits, worker’s compensation, unemployment, compensation, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Provide guidance and implement and develop programs and tools to enhance productivity and reduce liability, to include handbooks, job descriptions, performance management, review and discussion of EEOC-related issues, progressive discipline development, termination, policy development and administration; secure internal support including legal input as required.
  • Consult with clients on matters regarding reduction in force, separation agreements, exhibits, EEO impact, etc.
  • Utilize HR analytics to determine HR issues impacting client and provide recommendations to client to close gaps and drive necessary change within the organization.
  • Align Insperity services with client needs through an understanding of business plans for medium-sized business operations from an owner’s perspective.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ Human Resource Generalist experience with emphasis on employee relations and navigating leave-of-absence scenarios.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Senior or Professional in Human Resources (SPHR/PHR) certification preferred.
  • Proven track record of building trust, providing insightful consultation, solving problems and not shying away from difficult conversations.
  • Multi-state HR experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
