Inside Sales/ Account Manager

As the Account Manager, you will assist with the implementation of IFMA’s credential sales strategy, manages associated client relationships and sales initiatives as it relates to group education/credential revenue, and supports all sales channels as assigned by the senior director.

To be successful, you should possess: 

  • Associates degree plus 2 years’ relevant experience, or minimum 4 years relevant experience. Sales experience in an educational or credential-related industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer), and basic understanding and use of standard project management and accounting software systems, databases, and web-based platforms.
  • Ability to travel domestically. Estimated travel is less than 10%.

Your essential duties and responsibilities as the Account Manager will include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops a deep understanding of FM practices and IFMA’s products and services related to credentials and professional development overall
  • Becomes proficient in IFMA’s software platform for educational course delivery and gives input on process improvements to deliver the best possible user experience
  • Manages and grows sales pipeline: creating new sales opportunities in the CRM, while providing immediate response to in-bound sales leads
  • Prepares and performs sales presentations and proposals for credential/professional development prospects with the ability to fit the approach to the audience
  • Assists clients in communications (webinars, conference calls) to promote IFMA’s educational/credential offerings to their employees
  • Assists with the development and the execution of strategies for lead generation, sales, and all other matters related to revenue generation through professional development products as it relates to group channels as assigned by senior director
  • Integrates with the credentials team to ensure instructor-led courses have the appropriate instructors (experience/knowledge/location) while assisting instructors and students to ensure smooth registrations
  • Provides white glove customer service at all touchpoints in the sales cycle, from the initial point of contact to the successful completion of the courses/credentials, including but not limited to invoicing, collections, the fulfillment of training, trouble-shooting, and scheduled reporting periods for each client
  • Attends relevant industry conferences, trade shows, workshops, forums, etc. to form strategic business relationships for growth markets
