Manager, Assessment and Accountability
A Hybrid Opportunity (60% Virtual and 40% Onsite), Indianapolis, IN Area
The Manager, Assessment and Accountability provides compliance to the virtual school program and oversees all aspects of student assessments and state accountability. This role is responsible for leading specific compliance reviews/processes to ensure that the Hoosier College and Career Academy is not only meeting all state and charter requirements as per the Indiana administrative code but addressing learning loss due to covid and the offshoots of the pandemic.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Maintain and compile databases containing student assessment data for disaggregation and dissemination;
- Schedule and arrange test sites and facilities in compliance with applicable state and federal laws;
- Team with administrators to utilize data to identify gaps in performance due to learning loss;
- Communicate with staff regarding assessment and progress data;
- Monitors the Enrollment and Registration team’s progress toward goals;
- Schedule and monitor incoming and ongoing assessment sessions;
- Schedule and monitor training for staff regarding assessment;
- Analyze student learning loss and provide specific plans for growth;
- Probe instructional gaps, making recommendations for stoppage of disparities;
- Effectively influence internal and external stakeholders to successfully follow compliance guidelines for federal, state, and local requirements;
- Review all state requirements per the Indiana Administrative code to ensure that schools have implemented all requirements, and if not, create a remediation plan;
- Review district board policies for all schools and gather evidence that schools are following, and if not, create a remediation plan;
- Work with administrative staff to ensure the school follows and meets all audit requirements;
- Develop and manage relationships with partner districts, state, and other education stakeholders;
- Manage the development of school policies and procedures, e.g., assists with the school efforts to develop policies and procedures, training standards and curriculum enhancements;
- Assist in student recruitment and the planning of school events;
- Supervise and manage office staff and assists with a wide variety of personnel support issues;
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 1-3 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree preferred OR Bachelor’s Degree(s) AND
- Five (3) years of related experience
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Indiana Administrative License preferred OR equivalent course work.
Other Required Qualifications:
- Ability to create compliancy programs from the ground up
- Excellent time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Web proficiency
- Database experience
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
- Ability to clear required background check
