Manager, Sales Performance Improvement

 

We are currently seeking a Manager, Sales Performance Improvement to join our team. 

 

Summary
This position is responsible for directing all activities associated with delivery of effective, measurable and efficient training programs to Insperity’s sales organization.  Works with internal constituents to anticipate future needs, fine-tune and refine current training initiatives and to make sure they align with our corporate strategic initiatives.
 

Essential Functions
Under general supervision and much decision-making:
 

  • Directs the delivery for all sales related training.  Maintains quality control and, if necessary, refines delivery content and presentation effectiveness.
  • Creates and maintains budget to ensure that training costs are reasonable and within approved budget.
  • Supervises an effective team organized in a manner, which provides for successful results.  Mentors and coaches staff of qualified team members to provide long-term growth and skill development.
  • Collaborates with SPI Development, sales management and other internal constituents to fine-tune and move forward their training initiatives to ensure alignment with corporate strategic initiatives. 
  • Develops training schedules that leverage cost-effective travel logistics to ensure maximum attendance and timeliness for sales training initiatives.
  • Identifies and engages internal presenters from other departments to participate in training workshops.
  • Develops metrics to measure the quality of training initiatives. 
  • Consults with Sales Management regarding process improvement projects.
  • Conducts research to continually upgrade existing operations and procedures
  • Acts as a resource for providing training support, guidance, organizational development and training and development opportunities for sales team employees
  • Recommends external training resources as necessary
  • Maintains active membership in professional organizations to establish business network and promote services of training and development.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a job-related field is required and an advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum five years of sales training experience.  Additional work experience in the training and development, and process improvement field is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications 
Certification in ASTD Training and Development Program preferred.
 

Knowledge/Skills

  • Leadership skills required to build teams and develop people.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, administer and deliver training programs to a diverse group of adult learners.
  • Instructor led training and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas effectively, clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, with excellent English, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation, composition and proofreading skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
