Manager, Shared Services
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under limited supervision and much decision making:
- Manages and maintains the national shared services team with new client transition activities, escalations, and resolutions with the goal of delivering efficient and effective service delivery and high client satisfaction and retention.
- Monitors and analyzes operational risks within the payroll organization, then works with Field Operations, Middle Market and Corporate Leadership to develop, create and implement actions and initiatives to improve national client retention.
- Provides supporting documentation for headcount and fiscal budgetary purposes; maintains forecasting data and ensures controls are in place to maintain budgetary goals.
- Develops a conceptual idea or vision, then works extensively with Leadership to recommend and implement process and service improvements that are executable, realistic and results-oriented on a national level.
- Participates in client communication via phone or email to support Insperity initiatives.
- Generates and analyzes departmental statistics and reports to drive continued improvement efforts and develop strategic plans for peak volume trends.
- Accommodates client needs through continual review of internal and external processes.
- Develops and maintains highly functional and collaborative relationships to achieve and support client satisfaction and retention goals.
- Supports process and audit efforts to ensure data integrity and accountability for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Develops, coaches, trains, mentors and leads the national Shared Service teams to maximize individual and team performance and drive accurate, timely, client focused solutions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Ten to twelve years of experience in a related field required with three to five years prior management experience strongly preferred.
- CPP and/or PHR preferred.
- Travel up to 25%
- Customer service experience in a team environment.
- Experience in managing remote national teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem solving/decision making/conflict resolution skills.
- Strong ability to manage time and efforts of direct reports, manages team resources (headcount and monetary expenses) to budget and identify and fulfill staffing needs.
- Broad based exposure to various HR disciplines and understanding of their role and impact on business as it relates to payroll, benefits, taxation, accounting, employment documentation, employment, and general HR practices.
- Proficient in design and delivery of presentations.
- Ability to handle multiple, complex projects from conception to completion.
- Ability to act as a core business unit expert for key company initiatives.
- Ability to facilitate and coordinate testing and information gathering sessions for valuable feedback.
- Ability to mentor and guide direct reports in project management opportunities as needed for professional development.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn other application programs as needed.
