Manager, Traditional Employment Performance Improvement

We are currently seeking a Manager, Traditional Employment Performance Improvement to join our team.  

Summary
This position is responsible for the development, facilitation, execution, and measurement of Traditional Employment Solutions division-wide training programs. With input from senior leadership, various internal partners and subject matter experts, this role recommends and drives a collaborative approach to enhancing the development and retention of talent for the division. Works with internal constituents to anticipate future needs, fine-tune and refine current training initiatives and to make sure they align with our corporate strategic initiatives.

Essential Functions
Under limited supervision and much decision-making:
 

  • Manages a team of performance consultants who conduct needs assessments to determine the best solutions for business challenges and to deliver desired business results.
  • Manages the new hire training programs to orientate new employees to Traditional Employment, our product offering and role specific training.  This includes curriculum development, facilitation of programs, follow-up opportunities and measurement of programs.
  • Develops training programs through scoping, research and analysis, design, development, launch and measurement. Holds self and others accountable to the progress and measurement of the programs.
  • Mentors and coaches staff of qualified team members to provide long-term growth and skill development.
  • Develops, coaches and trains on the culture, team and job expectations, developing business acumen and clear understanding of business objectives.
  • Consults and collaborates with Traditional Employment leadership and internal partners to execute on talent priorities and related solutions.  Supports onboarding, performance management, role development and management initiatives.
  • Manages the facilitation of role specific training that is conducted within each business unit.  Ensures that those senior roles maintain curriculum that is current. Communicates progress to a variety of internal audiences and modifies the plan as needed for business changes or improved results.
  • Ensures the Performance Improvement team is staying up to date with changes going on in each business unit by conducting regular meetings and reporting up to the director level.
  • Designs and manages communication plans to operationalize Traditional Employment training programs and adoption of related resources and processes.
  • Acts as a resource for providing training support, guidance, organizational development and training and development opportunities for employees.
  • Builds inclusive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders, teams, and peers across departments to solve complex problems and form a seamless integration of development and delivery.
  • Responds to department training requests.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Seven or more years of experience in training and development, process improvement is required, including leading teams and managing people.

Licenses/Certifications 
Certification in ASTD Training and Development Program preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Leadership skills required to build teams and develop people.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and project management skills.  Ability to plan and lead large-scale division or cross-organizational projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, administer and deliver training programs to a diverse group of adult learners.
  • Ability to create measurements and be accountable to the outcomes of the projects are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas effectively, clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, with excellent English, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation, composition and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of diagnosing organization issues; including ability to analyze data, workplace trends and use various assessment tools.
  • Effective business case development, presentation skills and group facilitation skills to drive decision making.
  • Ability to establish working relationships effectively and facilitate meetings with a structure approach to gaining agreement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
