As the Project Manager, you will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for client engagement and corporate project implementation efforts. You will be expected to work alongside a team of project managers, clients and technical experts to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. You will also delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.

Our client will rely on you to utilize your skills and talents for successfully accomplish the following:

  • Work with other project managers and technical experts to identify, document and create standardized project management methodology, deliverables, tools and technologies.
  • Participate in an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Direct multiple cost savings initiatives in paper and plastic packaging category – collecting data, facilitating the development of the project strategy and timeline, managing project timeline, and maximizing negotiated savings for the client.
  • Liaise with and leverage client’s onsite subject matter experts, client’s vendors, and our client’s technical team, to understand/collect information on operational nuances that affect product pricing and data needed for initiatives in the near-term and long-term.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk.
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project. 
  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
  • Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, required.
  • 5+ years of related experience required. Consulting and/or packaging experience preferred.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project being delivered.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with project management software tools.
