Sales Engineer – Houston, TX

From envisioning and designing solutions for brand new accounts to driving expansion across existing accounts, the Waypoint solutions team transforms opportunity into action every day. As a Sales Engineer, you will use your technical expertise and relationships, to work with our clients to provide solution design to solve for their business challenges.

What You’ll Achieve

In this role, you will design technical solutions for new Waypoint customers or expand existing accounts within an established geographic territory, building strong customer relationships in the field while ensuring a great customer experience for all.

You Will

  • Help create solutions that solve clients IT challenges with modern digital transformation solutions

  • Work closely with your Account Team and Waypoint Management

  • Identify product strategies for Waypoint’s approach to various customers and industries

  • Conduct competitor assessments and evolution of profit pools

You Should Have:

Every Waypoint team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

  • Career experience as a system or network administrator 

  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve for Corporate business problems

  • Good communication, collaboration, negotiation and presentation skills and ability to provide insight to senior management

  • Knowledge of contract interpretation, negotiations and customer management

It Would Be Great If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Various data center certifications
