Senior Director of Membership

As the Senior Director of Membership, you will be accountable for leading membership sales and retention. Your areas of focus will include prospecting and lead generation of members, member retention, recruitment, selection, and training of the department. You will also be responsible for motivating, leading, and growing a membership sales team.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of sales management experience
  • Strategic thinker and ability to analyze trends
  • Non-profit/Membership experience preferred
  • Passion for providing high-quality Member service and commitment to exceeding expectations
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong creativity, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels
  • Strong technical literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Occasional travel required

Your Responsibilities for the Senior Director of Membership will include:

  • Leads engagement with the property insurance industry, gaining and providing insights that retain members and open doors to expand industry involvement and expand membership
  • Collaborate with Product and Media teams to bring compelling and relevant communication to our members
  • Coordinate with the property insurance and reinsurance trade associations, ensuring alignment and open communication
  • Implement data analytic methods that leverage Salesforce and Pardot to gain deep member
  • insights
  • Develop and implement training for membership team and provide leadership to improve overall performance
  • Creation and Maintenance of standard letters to Members
  • Create an environment that leverages team synergies and produces a proactive culture
  • Provide acknowledgment and recognition to inspire the continual improvement of Membership team
  • Responsible for the communication of performance and key strategies to Senior Leadership Team

Additional Responsibilities will include:

  • Promote IBHS nationally and to the local community by attending Member functions, sponsoring events, and representing the IBHS within organizations
  • Maintain communication with peers by attending weekly meetings
  • Recommend and develop new member programs and services
  • Manage the membership application approval process
  • Implement and support all company initiatives and programs as requested

$110-120K annually, depending on experience
