Senior Financial Analyst

Our client produces metal alloys in New Castle, Pennsylvania for Aerospace and other industries. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will perform the financial controlling functions and provide support to the New Castle operations. 

To be successful, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with Accounting or Finance emphasis
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of financial analysis experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred
  • Prior metals industry experience preferred
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability work in a team environment to achieve the business objectives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Self-Motivated: high sense of urgency to achieve results
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting rules preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP systems

Your responsibilities as the Senior Financial Analyst will include:

  • Work safely and support safety programs.
  • Perform financial controlling function for the operations
  • Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs, collecting operational data.
  • Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and create forecasts.
  • Guide cost analysis process by establishing policies and procedures; provide trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Maintain database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Increase productivity, coordinating information requirements.
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Lead internal auditing activities.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and inventory analysis.
  • Cooperation with finance organization and other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Travel Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to travel between the 2 New Castle plants
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with personal protective equipment as required
