Senior Records Technician

We are currently seeking a Senior Records Technician to join our team. 
 

SUMMARY

Provides customer service to clients, governmental agencies and corporate departments related to work-site employee information.  Audits employee paperwork using computerized Records Management System (RMS) while identifying incorrect, incomplete or missing information.  Identifies and reports any compliance issues with work-site employee information.  Completes reports and forms for requesting missing or incomplete employee paperwork.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under general supervision and moderate decision-making:
 

  • Provides customer service to clients, governmental agencies and corporate departments related to work-site employee information.
  • Audits employee paperwork using computerized Records Management System (RMS) while identifying incorrect, incomplete or missing information.
  • Identifies and reports any compliance issues with work-site employee information.
  • Completes reports and forms for requesting missing or incomplete employee paperwork.
  • Maintains levels of productivity, quality and timeliness as required.
  • Retrieves requested information for subpoena support using Records Management System (RMS).
  • Prioritizes daily workflow and keeps supervisor updated on backlogs.
  • Maintains production reports as required.
  • Maintains knowledge of information management technologies.
  • Serves as backup to other team members.
  • Assists in training new Records Clerks and Technicians.
  • Provides input for performance reviews for Clerks and Technicians.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Three to five years experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Three to five years experience in a high volume records center operation.
  • Good research skills a must.
  • Good customer service skills and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Corporate Departmental functions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiar with ASF Records Retention Guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration and Social Security Administration regulations.
  • Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment, familiar with modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment, as well as filing systems and business letter writing and competent in correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
