Based in Raleigh, our client is the leading global supplier of lab, and low volume production, UHT/HTST, aseptic, and pasteurization equipment.  They work in the food, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries.  In the food industry, they work mostly in the R&D area. Their equipment is used to develop new beverages, milk drinks, soy and other milks, smoothies, juices, ice cream, yogurts, puddings, sauces and more. You probably consume something every day that was developed on their equipment! In the biotech and pharma industries, their equipment has been used to create new medications, special extracts, and microbial media used for a variety of scientific applications.

As the Training and Service Technician, you will be the face of our company. You will train, provide technical support, solve problems, conduct laboratory trials (in the in-house lab) and provide field repair and maintenance support for clients. You will be important to the company and our client offers a generous compensation program.

Our client is looking for motivated people that work well independently and as part of a team. Your duties will include:

  • Training clients to operate equipment
  • Fielding technical support questions from clients and distributors
  • Performing field service visits (repairs, maintenance)
  • Conducting in-house:
  • Leading client product tests
  • Executing equipment demos
  • Carrying out tests in support of equipment R&D and QA efforts

You must have:

  • 2 or 4-year degree in a relevant field
  • Aptitude in mechanical and electrical areas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel without restrictions, domestic and international
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preference will be given if you have:

  • 2 or 4-year degree in science or engineering
  • A background in food science, chemistry, biology, or mechanical sciences
  • Experience in field service or laboratory work
  • Experience working with beverage processing equipment (UHT, HTST)
  • Familiarity with a CRMs or issue ticketing systems
  • Foreign language proficiency, particularly in Spanish

This is a full-time salaried position, with occasional duties outside normal business hours, and periods of extensive travel. The work is varied and requires a level of manual dexterity.
