Supervisor, Technology Security

We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Technology Security to join our team.

Summary
Supervises the Technology Security team responsible for the core business systems and applications environment.  This position works to improve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Insperity’s information assets.

Responsibilities
Under limited supervision and much decision-making:
 

  • Provides leadership and direction to team in the development and communication of department goals and plans, technical standards and guidelines. 
  • Implements information security policies, standards and procedures across the enterprise.
  • Develops and implements a framework for security processes, roles and responsibilities throughout the organization.
  • Develops global architecture for authentication, authorization, data privacy, access control and digital signature technologies for both Internet and Intranet infrastructures.
  • Advises the business on security aspects of ecommerce and Internet initiatives.
  • Consults in the development of technology solutions and processes that allow secure access to information assets.
  • Participates in the system life cycle to ensure that security issues and requirements are addressed within each project or system.
  • Provides security consulting to major applications initiatives.
  • Develops and enhances skills and experience of both infrastructure and development staff with specific security responsibilities to ensure that systems remain secure, available, and functional at all times.
  • Participates in coordination and management of all technology security activities within the company.
  • Ensures that information security is addressed as a business issue across the company through coordinated information security training for employees, contractors, partners and other third parties, as appropriate.
  • Monitors compliance with Insperity’s information security policies and procedures among employees, contractors, partners and other third parties.
  • Participates the Insperity CSIRT to provide proper reporting and escalation to the management team about severe security incidents.
  • Provides oversight of security monitoring practices and review results of monitoring in conjunction with operational staff.
  • Provides regular reporting about systems security status and incident management to management.
  • Participates in regular IT security audits of applications and infrastructure, both internal and third party partners.
  • Performs information security risk assessments and serve as information security consultant.
  • Participates in compliance efforts with government regulations such as SOX 404 and other.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.  College Degree is preferred.      
  • Seven or more years of experience in field is required.      
  • Must communicate tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, with ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Must have leadership skills that energize multidiscipline and multi-department work teams to respond to business needs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors and vendors.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment.
  • In depth understanding of the Insperity business model and culture.
  • In depth knowledge in the technology security arena with security certifications such as CISSP.
  • In depth experience with network and platforms architectures and tools as well as monitoring and scanning tools.
  • In depth understanding of application development architectures; database architectures; purchased applications or architectures; and their relationship to information security.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory issues related to information security.
