Virtual Related Services Coordinator – Insight School of Indiana

 
Reports to: Director of Special Education
 
Position Summary: Serves as the point of contact for teachers, staff, parents, and service providers with regards to any therapy or related services /contracted services provided to a student through an Individualized Education Plan
 
Funding Source: IDEA Federal Grant (Hoosier Employee)
 
Education/Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

  • Teaching License in the area of Special Education, prefer SE administration licensing
  • Working knowledge of IDEA and Article 7
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a high pace and collaborative environment

Essential Duties:

  • Serves as point of contact for contracted providers and Stride National Related Services Team
  • Ensures existing contracts are compliant
  • Maintains service provider credential authorization
  • Maintains an accurate database of service providers, related services, invoices, and students
  • Maintain and Implement Related Services Policy and Procedures Manual
  • Verifies and approves all related service bills
  • Ensures appropriate placement of all students requiring any form of related service/contracted service
  • within guidelines for timeframe and provider proximity
  • Ensures appropriate distribution of most current IEP goals, services, progress and other pertinent
  • information to stakeholders
  • Train providers in local processes, procedures, and expectations
  • Complete all Related Services required tasks by assigned timelines
  • Serve as Public Agency Representative for all Speech/Language, Deaf Hard of Hearing, Blind Low Vision (only identified disability) conferences
  • Serve as Teacher of Service for students with DHH or BLV primary only exceptionality
  • Collaborate with School Psychologists for initial evaluations and reevaluations for students with Speech/Language, BLV, DDH
  • POC for ICAM through Patins Project
  • POC for Center of Deaf Hard of Hearing Education and School for the Blind/Visually Impaired
  • POC for IEP assistive technology
  • Complete annual Federal Deaf-Blind Census
  • Complete other assigned duties as determined by the Director of Special Education
