Associate Software Quality Engineer


We are seeking an Associate Software Quality Engineer to join our team.


This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products within an Agile Team. This role is also responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on various functional tests.  Works closely with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects, update existing scenarios, and design new test cases to meet the needs of business partners and clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborates with product owners, developers, and Quality Engineer (QE) leads to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
  • Executes manual and automated test cases to identify defects and assess product quality.
  • Fosters and adopts a quality-first strategy.
  • Investigates and reproduces defects, working closely with developers and product owner to facilitate resolution.
  • Learns and grows through continuous training, as well as guidance and mentorship from QE leadership.
  • Works toward becoming a subject matter expert (SME) of the product portfolio.
  • Provides feedback and suggestions to improve the software development process at Insperity.
  • Provides input to continual improvement and team building activities.


Qualifications:


  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.  Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in software quality assurance is required.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines is preferred. 
  • Prior experience working in the human resources or payroll industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, as well as source control tools.
  • Awareness of software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Git, Selenium, Agile methodology, C#, or Java.


Insperity provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $55,100 – $82,800.
