An ideal Certified Appraiser, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Certified General Real Estate Appraiser Certification.
  • 3–10 years of experience in commercial real estate appraisals, including right-of-way projects.
  • Willingness to provide expert witness testimony when required.
  • MAI designation or commitment to pursuing MAI certification.

 

Your responsibilities as the Certified Appraiser will include:

  • Conduct appraisals for diverse property types, including agricultural, recreational, commercial, and industrial.
  • Perform appraisals for eminent domain projects such as pipelines, highways, and electric transmission lines.
  • Work independently and collaboratively on large linear right-of-way projects.
  • Oversee and mentor appraiser trainees, guiding their market research and report preparation.
  • Prepare comprehensive appraisal reports in compliance with industry standards.
