Employer Retirement Plan Client Service Representative

We provide financial planning and asset management services to individuals, small businesses, retirement plans, and nonprofits. As the Employer Retirement Plan Client Service Representative in our Akron, OH office, you will provide administrative support to ensure outstanding service delivery to existing and new clients.


To succeed, you should have:

  • 4 Year College Degree or equivalent experience 
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology used within the business.
  • Ability to adapt to different situations and willingness to change course when necessary.
  • Ability to manage competing demands. 
  • Adherence to policies and procedures, yet able to recognize the need to consider an alternate course of action in certain situations.
  • Solid internet research capabilities and strong personal computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Redtail CRM (preferred but not necessary).
  • Desire to have or earn FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses or Series 6, 63, and 65 (or willing to earn within 12 months of employment). 


Your responsibilities as the Employer Retirement Plan Client Service Representative:

  • Schedule meetings with Business Owners, Employees, and assigned Vendors.
  • Prepare meeting packets and materials for assigned companies.
  • Prepare onboarding paperwork to help employees enroll in the company Retirement Plan.
  • Monitor mutual fund menus for each employer plan and make recommendations when necessary.
  • Ensure all Plan documents are updated and saved to our internal shared file storage site.
  • Assist with tasks associated with Plan rollovers, perform follow up, and notification of receipt of funds into the Plan. 
  • Consistently and thoroughly follow up to confirm all processing requests are completed accurately and timely.
  • Assist with processing all clients’ enrollments, distributions, and loan documentation. 
  • Utilize the internal client record database (Redtail CRM) to document all client conversations, information, and workflows.
  • Take the lead in responding to all phone calls and email inquiries from Employees, Participants, and Trustees. 
  • Provide support to Employer Retirement Plan Advisors as requested and serve as a mentor to Operations Associates.
