To continue the growth of their group, they are seeking a Product Line Engineer to join their Flower Mound, TX team. 


As the Engineer, you will work under the direct supervision of the Technical Sales/Engineering Manager and perform drafting and design, technical support, and QA/QC tasks as required for the Engineering and Manufacturing Departments. You will also assist the Sales Team with a review of technical drawings/specifications and with compiling pricing for quotations to customers. You will need to build a strong understanding of the cost structure for products to provide valuable feedback to the supply chain and manufacturing for continuous improvement of the product cost structure. Answers technical questions to facilitate customers’ understanding of the product. Additionally, you will incorporate feedback from the Manufacturing and Supply chain to improve the implementation of design concepts.


To thrive as an Engineer, you should have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Up to 5 years of product design experience
  • Manufacturing and/or sales experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic engineering terminology, principles and practices
  • Knowledge of basic drafting terminology, principles, and practices to include computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Knowledge of basic use of 3D modeling, assemblies, and FEA using SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of technical writing and effective communication of technical subjects
  • Skill and ability in drafting parts and drawings in 3D modeling software
  • Hands-on approach to design and troubleshooting mechanical components
  • Ability to quickly learn the policies and procedures pertaining to the job


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide drafting and design support to the Engineering staff
  • Aid in the creation of product designs, including drafting of manufacture and customer drawings
  • Maintain and Organize AutoCAD/SolidWorks Drawing files 
  • Create and Assign part numbers and descriptions in the ERP system 
  • Create and Review BOM’s in ERP system
  • Liaison with various departments, management, vendors, clients, customers, etc.
  • Assist in the creation of proposals and quotes based on customer inquiries
  • Communicate with material vendors to review specifications and obtain pricing
  • Review and interpret customer specs to lead to building costing structures and quotes
  • Aid in the development of Operation Manuals and other relevant Product Literature. 
  • Work with Manufacturing to improve internal processes and resolve non-compliance issues
  • Provide support to Manufacturing and Sales Teams
  • Perform other work as required by Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
