Events Manager

As the Events Manager, you will report to the Marketing Director and serve as the lead coordinator for Marketing events. Your responsibilities will include trade shows, company-sponsored seminars, and Sales Representative trainings. You will also be responsible for the on-time delivery and set up of all related materials, prepare a financial analysis of Marketing events, identify opportunities to improve ROI, and manage a small team of Marketing employees.

 

To be successful, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Marketing degree preferred)
  • Experience in event planning/hotel event management preferred
  • Marketing/Sales/Customer Service experience a plus
  • Experience with project management software (Basecamp) a plus
  • Experience in Marketing software (HubSpot, Marketo) a plus 
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple events under the pressure of set deadlines
  • Demonstrate Marketing analytical skills
  • Ability to build and present professional presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Solid communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Stellar time and Project Management skills

 

Your responsibilities as the Events Manager will include:

  • Negotiates and finalizes venue contracts for Marketing events
  • Serves as the primary contact for third-party contractors for the scheduling of trade show/seminar booth delivery and related materials
  • Identifies and recommends ad opportunities at trade shows
  • Conducts pre-event meetings; communicates key details and objectives to the event team
  • Maintains/updates financial analysis for Marketing events
  • Proposes initiatives for improving ROI
  • Attends a limited number of events, as needed, for onsite support
  • Assesses the effectiveness of company presence at Marketing events
  • Recommends improvements to the promotion of the company’s brand/image
  • Provides support for all related shipments of event supplies and collateral materials 
  • Manages of a small number of Marketing employees and print shop production
