FINANCE SYSTEMS & REPORTING MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for collaborating with Finance and Innovative Technology Solutions (ITS) personnel to ensure the Finance department’s technology needs are defined and that the appropriate solutions are in place and functioning as designed. Defines and communicates technical support and project needs, technical standards and procedures for the Finance department’s operational systems, including but not limited to AIMS, Lawson, OneStream, Tracker, and MasterTax. Proactively assists in defining direction for future projects.
• Leads and/or coordinates ownership with business users of Finance technology software in areas such as new functionality, production support, upgrades and overall understanding related to assigned applications, such as but not limited to AIMS, Lawson, SalesForce, OneStream, WebFocus, Tracker, and MasterTax.
• Works with Finance management and team members to understand technology needs and design effective solutions utilizing methodologies including, but not limited to the following concepts:
? Documents the current process and limitations to initiate project plan and vision meetings,
? Defines business needs as well as user and functional requirements,
? Performs situation analysis and recommendations for problem solving,
? Conceives solutions, builds consensus, and sells/executes solutions,
? Directs and coordinates work of others to develop, test, install, and modify programs,
? Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures,
? Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
• Acts as a liaison between ITS and Finance, maintains efficient channels of communication between personnel, and establishes maintenance and implementation processes that bring appropriate resources to projects in a timely manner.
• Ensures accurate deliverables, new functionality and reports are delivered to the Finance department through self-testing and user acceptance testing. This includes preparing test plans and project management of the business resources for the testing, if necessary.
• Works with team members to develop project plans including vision, scope, timelines, requirements, development, deployment, testing, maintenance and updates/upgrades. Regularly communicates progress to business users.
• Designs and implements data delivery solutions to support Finance reporting and analytics needs.
• Researches proactively and locates the necessary tools and processes to identify technology-related issues as they develop, analyzes/predicts trends and develops a long-range plan designed to anticipate and resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.
• Designs and assists with implementation of technology solutions to improve business processes by automating and/or streamlining finance transactions with IT systems.
• Participates in various projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the department’s technology effectiveness.
• Prepares and distributes reports on a timely basis to pertinent personnel and management.
• Maintains and/or develops system documentation, data integration processes and user training.
• Stays abreast of finance technology and recommends future system enhancements and/or system upgrades.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.
• Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems is required.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in administration of financial management systems is required.
• Lawson Financial management/administration experience is required.
• Prior managerial and system implementation experience are preferred.
