Our client seeks a Health Safety Environment and Quality Specialist (HSEQS). You will plan, coordinate, and implement the company’s quality and safety program across all departments to ensure all operations run safely, following OSHA laws, regulations, and guidelines. This role will emphasize your focus and expertise in Safety to aspects of the KTN HSEQ program. Experience more related to Safety is preferred.
To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; degrees in Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or Logistics and Supply Chain are a plus.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience required; 3+ years preferred, with knowledge of OSHA laws related to warehouse operations.
- Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Pro; advanced skills in spreadsheets (Pivot Tables, Macros, Formulas) and document presentation preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a “get it done” attitude, able to interact effectively across all organizational levels; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
As the Health Safety Environment & Quality Specialist (HSEQS), you will:
- Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards: Enforce PPE usage and adherence to OSHA safety regulations across all terminal operations and manage accident investigations and reporting.
- Quality System Management: Supervise and update the Quality Manual and procedures (KTN Specialty Chemicals USA: QM 28.100), ensuring strict implementation and documentation.
- Audit Coordination: Prepare, conduct, and analyze internal audits; organize external audits for HSEQ compliance.
- Non-Conformity Event System: Manage the non-conformity event system and address corrective actions based on incident findings.
- Risk Analysis & Training: Conduct risk analysis for facility activities, oversee HSEQ employee training, and ensure conformance to EPA, SWPPP, and SPCC regulations.
