Health & Welfare Analyst
We are currently seeking a Health & Welfare Analyst join our Kingwood, TX office.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for analyzing and documenting current and future state business process flows and system logic to identify opportunities for efficiencies and cycle time improvements to attain the highest levels of customer service, control, and compliance. This role serves as a technical point-of-contact and acts as subject matter expert for system logic and research. This position is also responsible for mentoring and training team members, service providers, and sales consultants and recommending procedure and processes enhancements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages complex reports and audits that directly deal with process adherence.

Confers with internal department constituents to document, analyze, develop and maintain “current state” and “future state” of business processes that are designed to ensure plan compliance, vendor contract conformity, and appropriate system utilization.

Acts as team SME for Enterprise Level projects ensuring that systems are preforming as required or identifying and setting up manual processes to ensure compliance with plan administrative requirements including downstream transactions, systems and processes.

Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, developing and implementing new processes or process changes, including communications and training as needed.

Provides analytical and consultative support on data and metrics to evaluate performance and identify trends. Uses the data to make recommendations for process improvements.

Documents and submits project scope documents.

Documents and submits WebFocus report request documents.

Tests business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing. Identifies areas of process improvements.

Assists with annual plan design system and process changes including monitoring and documenting post-implementation problems and tracking issues through to completion.

Generates queries and reporting as requested.

Ensures access is appropriately assigned in Benefit Studio as well as the carrier eligibility portals for new employees and employee terminations. Monitors and verifies the accuracy of control documentation and validates the permission levels.

Designs and maintains appropriate tools to improve data collection and minimize errors in data transmission of employee and dependent care coverage to carriers.

Serves as mentor/trainer to new and existing Process Control team members.

Works as a team member to maintain the highest level of customer service quality and productivity.

Maintains general knowledge of federal, state and local benefit administration laws, regulations and best practices including, but not limited to ERISA, IRC Section 125, and DOL.

Assists in the accomplishment of Insperity Company goals.

Helps other employees to accomplish Insperity Company goals.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.

Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Computer Science is preferred.

Three to five years in the business process analysis including defining operating models, designing new process flows and their validation is required.

Demonstrated facilitation skills at every level to ensure wide understanding and buy in to business processes.

Demonstrated customer service skills and organizational skills.

Ability to learn new concepts quickly and be a self-starter. Capable self-starter able to work independently, be innovative, and actively seek new or better methods of competence. Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.

Exceptional writing skills specifically relating to creating user documentation. Ability to simplify complex things for wider understanding.

Must demonstrate analytical and statistical skills.

Leadership skills are necessary.
