Marketing Financial Operations Manager

We are currently seeking a to Marketing Financial Operations Manager join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the Marketing and Business Development department. The role assists with the Marketing & Business Development (MBD) financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and ROI analysis. The role will provide financial and strategic support to management including developing, interpreting, and presenting financial performance analytics for the department and working to develop clear and concise reports that drive perpetual improvement in marketing effectiveness/ROI.


  • Conducts analysis and interprets financial data, including results compared to budgets and forecasts, for department leadership.
  • Leads the preparation of the Marketing portfolio annual budgets and long-range financial plans.
  • Develops and maintains ROI models for new and ongoing business development projects.
  • Utilizes primary and secondary competitive intelligence resources to analyze the industry landscape and notify management of key, emerging trends.
  • Monitors performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance for various geographical and traditional media campaigns.
  • Develops, publishes, and presents key performance reporting and sales dashboards.
  • Builds and routinely tracks MBD Programs Adoptions report and analysis.
  • Develops long-term (5 year-plan) plan financial models including costs of turn-over, and regression analysis to support the Company’s strategic initiatives.
  • Manages day-to-day operations of the MBD operating expenses, including vendor contracts verification, invoice processing, payment status, payment option, payment status, and prioritization of business change requests.
  • Serves as a liaison with the Finance and Accounting department to facilitate all financial and accounting related functions.
  • Assists in the accomplishment of Insperity Company goals.
  • Helps other employees to accomplish Insperity Company goals.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.
  • Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or other quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Seven to ten years of professional experience in a Marketing and Finance related field is required.
  • Highly proficient at financial analysis utilizing complex analytical techniques and formulas.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial budgeting and reporting methods.
  • Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Project with ability to learn other application programs as needed.
  • Ability to bridge Marketing and Finance.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of peers or management in one-on one and small group situations.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts of algebra, probability, and statistics.
  • Project management skills: experience in handling multiple projects.
  • Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment, familiar with modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment, as well as filing systems and business letter writing and competent in correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
  • Ability to successfully build relationships within cross-functional teams and with all employee levels from coordinators to senior level executives.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost improvement and project analysis, profitability and translating strategy into executable action plans.
