To thrive, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven payroll coordination experience, ideally with PEO collaboration.
  • Solid organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency with payroll software, Microsoft Excel, and office tools.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency highly preferred.

 

Responsibilities of a Payroll Coordinator:

  • Process and verify payroll transactions, including timesheets and attendance.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records with adjustments and benefits.
  • Coordinate with PEO to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.
  • Manage payroll payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
  • Perform audits and verifications of payroll records to ensure accuracy.
  • May perform HR administrative tasks related to data entry.
