Sales Development Representative – Inbound Interceptor

This position is responsible for learning Insperity’s business solutions and prospecting systems, building a sales pipeline, delivering high-quality leads, and supporting Business Performance Advisors (BPA) sales efforts ensuring the Company’s growth goals and objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the company’s lead generation programs and manages all lead sources to build and maintain a lead development pipeline.
  • Speaks with prospective client key business leadership and decision-makers about Insperity’s services, product offerings and value proposition.
  • Asks required questions of contacts to categorize as a qualified lead for BPAs, answers questions, and validates business information obtained through the call.
  • Articulates a fundamental understanding of Insperity’s core Workforce Optimization and Business Performance Solutions in order to successfully manage and overcome prospect misperceptions or objections.
  • Builds and cultivates prospect relationships by conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the qualifying process.
  • Identifies best appointment times and schedules meetings to accommodate both the prospect and the BPA.  Follows up with appropriate parties to confirm scheduling and discuss outcomes.
  • Manages and audits contact data in the CRM to ensure accurate information and track the contact through the sales process.
  • Documents all interactions and activity in applicable systems on a timely basis.
  • Retrieves, verifies, codes, and enters all required information daily into CRM.
  • Evaluates appropriate distribution of leads based on criteria established.
  • Ensures accurate documentation, coding, and distribution of leads to Sales organization for Workforce Optimization, Strategic Business Unit and/or Inside Sales Support.
  • Tracks, follows-up, and documents dashboard assignments on a daily basis.
  • Maintains knowledge of products, services, competitive activity, and other general business information of interest to prospects and clients.
  • Participates in team meetings and events.
  • Follows all rules and regulations as it applies to HIPAA in a professional manner. Maintains HIPAA compliance training requirements.
  • Manages a large volume of confidential information and material.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three to five years inside sales or related work experience is preferred. Business-to-Business phone prospecting to C-level executives is preferred.

  • Understands small to medium size business needs and operations from an owner’s perspective.
  • Uses appropriate methods of dealing with human behavior in a variety of business circumstances.
  • Phone presentation skills to include proficiency in delivery and needs analysis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on listening and the ability to talk to business owners on a professional level and maintain effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.
  • Effective problem solving/decision making abilities.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Proficient use of SalesForce and Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other application programs as needed. Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel proficiency is required.
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects through completion.
