As the Sales Support Representative, you will provide lead qualification support on external sales to gain and retain customers. Your role will include qualifying leads and prospects in all sales channels (group and individual) and responding to customer questions, comments, and requests during these activities to grow the sales pipelines and professional development (PD) sales revenue.
Responsibilities as the Sales Support Representative include:
• Develop a deep understanding and ability to effectively communicate IFMA’s PD products and services.
• Become proficient in IFMA’s technology for managing sales pipeline, such as CRM, SalesHub, and ZoomInfo.
• Provide excellent customer service, meeting departmental communication standards.
• Qualify potential leads and prospects, advancing group prospects to the account managers.
• Complete marketing workflow tasks, which include providing more information and determining the next step in the sales process.
• Provide a quote/proforma invoice for individual purchase requests identified through leads, the member’s services team (MST), account managers, and other channels.
• Communicate customer feedback to the sales team.
• Work closely with the Professional Development Sales Manager in lead qualification activities and general sales support.
To be successful as a Sales Support Representative, you should have:
• Associate’s degree with 1-2 years related experience or 2-4 years business-to-business sales experience is acceptable; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret professional and technical materials, write reports, and present effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of project management, accounting software, databases, and web-based platforms.
• Skills in defining problems, collecting data, drawing valid conclusions, multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to changes or challenges.
• Experience managing customer relationships with courtesy and sensitivity; contributes to team success through feedback, adaptability, and collaboration.
