Senior Reporting Developer, Salesforce


We are currently seeking a Senior Reporting Developer, Salesforce to join our team. This position is responsible for providing accurate and timely delivery of reporting requests and related services that result in client retention, growth and customer satisfaction. Serves in a consultant role for all Operations departments that use the CRM system. Assists or is responsible for the creation of technical design. Reviews progress with management. Tests applications and assists in the implementation of new systems or updates to existing systems.



  • Designs, develops, and maintains operational reports for internal personnel and Business Units using a variety of reporting tools, mainly Salesforce Lightning, CRM-A, and Tableau.
  • Troubleshoots data issues, validates result sets, analyzes, recommends, and implements process improvements for reporting needs.
  • Participates in the design and execution of governance activities to ensure accuracy of reports.
  • Coaches team members to maintain the highest levels of customer service quality and productivity; helps Director with ideas to address any inefficiencies.
  • Partners with enterprise data engineering team to create technical designs that meet reporting needs.
  • Tests applications and assists in the implementation of new systems or updates to existing systems.
  • Initiates proactive communication to all parties involved in report projects.
  • Gathers information on technical requirements, issues, provides solutions, meets deadlines and provides general support to meet customer needs. 
  • Understands and maintains knowledge on application, updates, enhancements and system limitations as they affect the reporting process.
  • Works closely with business personnel to ensure satisfaction concerning reporting needs; creates plan to address client needs.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of business and operations and is able to apply that knowledge to the design and interpretation of reports.
  • Provides technical assistance and resolves issues related to supported applications and reports.  
  • Assists in the accomplishment of Insperity Company goals.
  • Helps other employees to accomplish Insperity Company goals.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.
  • Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or related work experience is preferred. 
  • Five to seven years of hands-on experience with design and development of enterprise reporting solutions or business analysis experience is required.  
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator preferred.
  • Broad experience with data and reporting, leveraging Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, Salesforce Lightning, CRM Analytics or other business analysis and reporting platforms.  
  • Strong experience with relational database concepts, including SQL and working knowledge of database applications.  
  • Ability to create and maintain reports using specialized technical report writing software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, be a self-starter, be innovative, and actively seek new or better methods of competence.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly.
