Senior Strategic Project Manager, Strategic Sales Initiatives

We are currently seeking a Senior Strategic Project Manager, Strategic Sales Initiatives to join our team.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, and execution of strategic sales initiatives that drive operational excellence and achieve key business goals set by sales leadership. This role works closely with corporate leadership and strategic business leaders, providing strategic insights, project leadership and strong communication to ensure achievement of sales initiatives. This position also builds and strengthens collaborative working relationships with team members understanding and utilizing internal resources and partners, fostering cross-team collaboration and effective partnerships to support business objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

 Leads sales initiatives that drive continued improvement to managed functions consistent with business strategy and responsive to sales needs. Builds and strengthens collaborative working relationships with other Insperity constituents.

 Creates and executes project plans in partnership with Director of Strategic Sales Initiatives and all internal and external constituents, by effectively defining the project framework and direction.

 Applies a systematic approach to project management for strategic sales initiatives.

 Leads regular project status meetings and creates relevant status updates, including but not limited to presentations that include project milestones, roadblocks, and risks and issues logs, that are appropriate for executive stakeholders, project members employees and external partners.

 Oversees timely and effective communication to all stakeholders on status of projects and directives, including any scheduling constraints, resource issues, project risks, and scope changes.  Works with internal departments to ensure that expectations are communicated and managed appropriately. 

 Solves complex problems, including the ability to synthesize input from a range of stakeholders, articulate key priorities clearly and precisely, and recommend strategies that support business objectives

 Conducts extensive research and analysis focused on the impact of the performer’s output though performance thinking methodologies.

 Develops presentations for various audiences including, but not limited to, leadership, employees.

 Supports efforts of the Sales Development and Operations team to facilitate the most efficient and effective path toward achieving desired results and providing support as needed.

 Adheres to change management methodology and embraces change to drive process adoption.

 Demonstrates the values and mission of Insperity throughout the department and the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required.

    Seven to nine years of project management or related experience is required.

    Experience in direct sales, sales practices, or sales operations preferred.

    Experience planning and leading large-scale enterprise or cross-organizational projects to completion is preferred.

    Proven success in execution and deployment of business strategies, including the management and measurement of deliverables.

    Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.

    Ability to look at situations systematically, taking into consideration the larger context, including competing pressures, resource constraints and anticipated change.

 Excellent business acumen with strong presentation, group facilitation and project management skills.

 Skills in the areas of project and change management, persuasion, influence, negotiation, leadership, conflict resolution and decision-making.

 Ability to quickly become a trusted advisor, consultative partner, and subject matter expert. 

 Ability to solve problems, to deal with conflicts constructively; and to communicate and present ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

 Strong interpersonal skills to be able to establish working relationships and interact effectively with a wide range of people; working independently with limited direction; and maintaining effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.

 Ability to work in a team environment, including consensus building and creative problem-solving related to development of effective projects.

 Travels: Yes, up to 25% of time
