Policy Analyst

 

Our client is seeking a Policy Analyst to support the State Policy Director in tracking, analyzing, and communicating legislative and regulatory developments that affect the practice of pharmacy. In this role, you will execute policy-focused projects, develop advocacy resources, and maintain internal tools that keep our members informed and prepared to act.

Required Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s degree required; fields such as public policy, political science, public health, health administration, or related areas are all appropriate, though no specific major is required.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to translate complex policy issues into clear, concise materials.
  • Understanding of legislative or regulatory processes at the state or federal level.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in nonprofit, policy, advocacy, or membership-based environments.
  • Proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with Airtable and ClickUp is a plus.
  • Knowledge of health policy, public health, or experience in the healthcare space.

 

Your responsibilities as the Policy Analyst will include:        

  • Monitor state legislative and regulatory activity related to pharmacy practice and health policy.
  • Analyze bills, rules, and guidance documents and summarize key issues, trends, and implications.
  • Draft policy briefs, issue summaries, talking points, testimony, and other advocacy resources.
  • Support policy project execution, including research, data compilation, and coordination with state associations.
  • Help manage and update internal policy tracking tools and shared resources.
  • Coordinate and assist with stakeholder calls, member discussions, and policy working groups.
