What You’ll Do

Every day is an opportunity to help deliver exceptional patient care while supporting critical diagnostic and interventional procedures in our Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process
• Operate fluoroscopy and X-ray equipment according to established standards and regulatory requirements
• Enter patient information, set up procedures, and document fluoroscopy times accurately and timely
• Maintain responsibility for the operation, functionality, and quality performance of radiology equipment
• Assist physicians and clinical staff during interventional procedures
• Demonstrate competency in aseptic technique, surgical scrub preparation, and sterilization processes
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of radiologic procedures within medical records and electronic systems
• Provide patient images, films, or CDs to referring providers as needed and maintain appropriate logs
• Collaborate with the Charge Nurse and clinical team to facilitate efficient patient flow throughout the surgery center
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, setup, and procedural preparation
• Manage procedural supply inventories, participate in inventory counts, and coordinate ordering to maintain adequate stock levels
• Document supplies and charges used during procedures to support accurate utilization tracking and billing
• Enter pertinent data into electronic systems to support patient follow-up, reporting, and quality initiatives
• Ensure supplies and equipment are properly stocked and organized
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention, and Ambulatory Surgery Center quality and safety standards
• Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve departmental processes and patient care outcomes

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Rad Tech or related field required
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• Current Arizona MRTBE License required
• Current CPR certification required
• Minimum three years of Special Procedures Technologist experience required
• Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center, vascular, interventional, or procedural setting preferred
• Proficiency with radiologic equipment, fluoroscopy, and electronic medical record systems
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and healthcare software systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday
• Ability to assist with patient positioning, transfers, and transportation
• Ability to operate radiologic and procedural equipment safely and effectively
• Ability to perform duties requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed

Work Environment

This position is based in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting where team members work closely with physicians and clinical staff to provide procedural care. The environment requires adherence to radiation safety practices, infection prevention standards, and quality assurance protocols. The noise level is typically moderate, and all appropriate safety measures and protective equipment are provided.
