CNC Night Shift Supervisor – Part-Time

3:30 pm to 7 pm; Monday – Thursday

 

We’re seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to step into a leadership role as our Night Shift Supervisor at B&M Machine Co., Inc. In this part-time position, you’ll oversee evening machining operations, handling programming, set-ups, and supervision for 3-axis milling and Lathe applications. Working Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., this flexible role is ideal for an experienced machinist looking to earn additional income or a mechanically inclined professional eager to gain hands-on experience in precision manufacturing. With a supportive team and adaptable scheduling, it’s an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise or build it at a family-owned shop with over 75 years of machining excellence.

To thrive, you should have:

• Solid machining background with 3+ years of CNC set-up and programming experience on 3-axis machining centers (5-axis a plus)
• Proficiency in reading GD&T and working with CAD/CAM files to support programming and production
• Machinist training in speeds, feeds, G-code, and tooling, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes
• Demonstrated leadership experience supervising a small team in a manufacturing environment

 

Your responsibilities as the CNC Night Shift Supervisor will include:

• Program, set up, and run 3-axis jobs on a Haas Mill and Lathe, including first-run and complex parts
• Read prints, write and post programs, and independently set up machines to meet specifications
• Collaborate with team members while also working independently to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all shop safety protocols
• Troubleshoot, implement corrective actions, develop fixturing, and assist with quoting as needed
