Bilingual Spanish Communications Manager – Remote

As Bilingual Spanish Communications Manager, you will lead the development and execution of a strategic, integrated communications program that elevates TOC’s visibility, translates complex scientific research into compelling content, and strengthens engagement with consumers, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.

To thrive/succeed as our Bilingual Spanish Communications Manager, you should have:        

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field; Master’s preferred for nonprofit or science communications roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications management, digital marketing, or nonprofit communications, preferably within sustainability, agriculture, or research organizations.
  • Proven expertise in SEO, content strategy, social media management, email marketing platforms (Mailchimp/Account Engagement), and CMS platforms (WordPress/Drupal).
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required, with experience developing multilingual content; ability to travel as needed for events, conferences, and partner engagement.
  • Solid proficiency in graphic design and content tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and project management platforms (e.g., Asana), with demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

 

Your responsibilities as the Bilingual Spanish Communications Manager will include:        

  • Develop and execute a strategic communications plan, including editorial calendars, integrated marketing campaigns, and cross-functional collaboration aligned with nonprofit and sustainability communications goals.
  • Create and manage SEO-optimized digital content (website, blogs, newsletters, press releases) to increase visibility, audience engagement, and organic search rankings.
  • Translate scientific research and data storytelling into accessible, audience-focused messaging for diverse stakeholders, including Gen Z and multicultural audiences.
  • Lead website redesign and content optimization (WordPress/Drupal), improving UX, multilingual accessibility, and digital performance metrics.
  • Analyze marketing analytics and KPIs (social media, email marketing, web traffic) to drive data-informed communications strategies and campaign performance.
