As our Director of Finance, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 6-8 years in financial management, including 2+ years leading teams in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
- Solid knowledge of nonprofit accounting, financial software (QuickBooks, NetSuite), regulatory compliance, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proven ability to drive financial planning, revenue development, and data-informed decision-making; innovative problem solver.
- Exceptional communicator with a history of collaborating with diverse stakeholders, inspiring teams, and advancing organizational goals.
Your responsibilities as the Finance Director will include:
- Drive Financial Strategy: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning to guide organizational growth and mission impact.
- Oversee Financial Operations: Manage accounting, payroll, cash flow, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Inform Leadership Decisions: Prepare and present clear financial insights to the executive team and board.
- Support Revenue & Resource Growth: Lead grant management, donor contributions, and strategic partnerships to expand funding.
- Develop Team & Optimize Resources: Mentor the finance team, ensure efficient resource use, and implement initiatives for organizational success.
