Our client seeks a Family Law Associate to build strong, trust-based relationships with clients by listening carefully to their goals and helping them move forward with clear, strategic legal guidance. You will lead the development and presentation of case strategies, ensuring the client and legal team are aligned throughout the process. You will handle legal analysis, discovery, pleadings, client advisement, and court appearances professionally and precisely. You will delegate effectively, work collaboratively within a team-focused environment, and take opportunities to network and represent the firm positively within the community.

To succeed as the Family Law Associate, you should have:        

  • Juris Doctor degree and active Colorado law license with 5+ years of associate-level family law experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail and client-focused problem-solving.
  • Solid understanding of legal strategies, research techniques, and proficiency with law management software and office applications.
  • Creative mindset driven to innovate and improve legal services and firm processes.
  • Must be available to work in a flexible environment. Fully remote is preferred near Denver, CO, with an option for in-office work; occasional local travel may be required.

 

Your responsibilities as the Family Law Associate will include:        

  • Lead client strategy sessions, perform legal analysis, and coordinate with the legal team to align on case goals.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with clients, advise on key decision points, and professionally represent clients in court.
  • Supervise legal documents and discovery, provide feedback, and ensure high-quality, efficient legal work.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture, participate in training, and monitor personal performance metrics and billables.
  • Participate in networking, referral outreach, and firm marketing efforts to strengthen client relationships and promote the firm’s culture.
