This position is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of Workday solutions and integrations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic technology vision. This role combines technical leadership with team management, driving innovation, and operational excellence across Workday platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, coaches, and leads Workday Engineering professionals for sustained excellence in individual and team performance.
- Staffs teams effectively and maintains high performing team members through effective interviewing and selection, establishment of individual and team goals and objectives, performance evaluation and development, formal and informal coaching and counseling, and mentoring developers as they grow within the organization.
- Promotes a positive culture of personal growth, identifies training needs, and designs employee development plans and career paths.
- Understands and communicates the organization’s vision and connects it to team members’ contributions.
- Guides and defines Workday engineering strategy, architecture, and development standards.
- Champions Workday architecture patterns, scalability, security, and performance best practices.
- Leads and mentors Workday engineers and architects, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
- Collaborates with product owners, business, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust Workday solutions.
- Ensures compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Partners with enterprise leaders to align Workday initiatives with organizational goals.
- Participates in roadmap planning and governance processes for Workday systems.
- Evaluates emerging Workday features and technologies for adoption.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Ten+ years of experience in enterprise application development, with at least four years in Workday engineering or architecture is required.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams is required•.
- Experience in Workday HCM/Finance configuration, integration, and security is required.

Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in modern software development methodologies, best practices, and lifecycle management.
- In-depth business acumen across Human Capital Management (HCM), Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, and Compensation domains.
- Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing Workday modules, including HCM, Time Tracking, Payroll, and Security, to support enterprise-scale operations.
- Proficiency with Workday integration and implementation tools such as Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, and iLoad.
- Strong background in designing and consuming Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST, WS standards), including practical experience with RaaS, Workday Studio, and Orchestrate Builder.
- Familiarity with Workday Extend and with a proven ability to evaluate and adopt emerging platform capabilities.
- Experience with advanced reporting and analytics tools, including Workday Prism, Workday Reporting, and BIRT, is highly desirable.
Insperity provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of pay for this role is:
127,200 – 144,875
