Overall Responsibility: This position is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Planner II with planning and prioritizing operation workflow to ensure maximum performance and minimum manufacturing delays.

Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other duties, as assigned by their supervisor. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review and analyze MRP and distributor inventory data to make manufacturing planning decisions.
- Assist with gathering information from departments to resolve any scheduling conflicts that may arise.
- Schedule production and packaging jobs at planned intervals that supports Biotics’ manufacturing cycle.
- Schedule production and packaging jobs to ensure and maintain optimal levels of finish goods inventory.
- Establish and prioritize job lead times (due dates) to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of finished goods.
- Help coordinating with production and packaging Supervisors and Leads to ensure successful schedule execution.
- Analyze production data and trends to identify areas for process flow corrections and/or improvements.
- Participate in meetings with distributor representatives regularly to discuss their inventory needs and concerns.
- Review and maintain distributor’s inventory levels and update distributors on delays and changes in scheduling.
- Support distributors’ plans and changes without compromising Biotics’ manufacturing strategy.
- Support the Customer Service department with manufacturing scheduling information and updates on changes and/or delays.
- Assist with coordinating with the new product development team to schedule the manufacturing and launching of new products.
- Support developing and implementing contingency plans to replace expiring finished goods without long term backorders.
- Support annual physical inventory counts and work with the warehouse teams to ensure inventory numbers are accurately maintained in MRP.
- Stay up to date on industry scheduling trends and learn how to make independent scheduling decisions.
Requirements and skills
– A four-year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management is preferred
– Must understand supply chain management and manufacturing principles
– Proficient in using scheduling software and other relevant tools
– Excellent organizational and time-management skills
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
– Must have basic computer skills including MS Office applications: Word, Excel and Power point
– Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to efficiently manage workload
– Ability to adapt to changing conditions and operational needs
– Must be willing to work extended hours, take part in weekend on-call rotation, as needed, to meet productivity goals
– Must be able to wear the necessary job-related personal protective equipment
– Ability to lift (up to 50-lbs), stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, stretch, step, climb occasionally during the duration of the shift
