To thrive, you should have:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a professional society or nonprofit setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiar with platforms such as MailChimp, Canva, SurveyMonkey, WordPress, and membership or grant management software (e.g., Blackbaud).
- Solid communication and customer service skills; managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) and relevant software training or credentials are a plus.
Your key responsibilities as the Membership Coordinator will include:
- Respond to member inquiries, track resolutions, and assist with connecting members to internal staff for timely support.
- Maintain accurate membership records, manage renewal schedules and invoices, and maintain current database and web listings.
- Assist in creating and distributing communications for recruitment, retention, and surveys; support regular reporting on membership activity.
- Help organize webinars, regional, and internal meetings, including scheduling and agenda preparation.
- Support member portal management, foster community engagement, monitor discussion boards, and implement strategies to enhance member value.
