As a Node.js Developer, your primary responsibility will be to develop great user experiences using modern technologies. Our team is moving to a software stack leveraging Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js running on Oracle Database 19c. The focus areas for this position are backend and RESTful API development to support several front-end applications and customer automation needs. The ability to learn quickly, a passion for picking up new ideas and technologies, and the communication skills to share these concepts with other team members are essential.

 

To succeed as a Node.js Developer., you should have:        

• Experience developing backend applications using JavaScript / TypeScript with a focus on RESTful APIs
• Experience with Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
• Ability and desire to do excellent software engineering: You’re doing it now, and your background shows you will pick up quickly what you have not already learned
• Demonstrated ability to work in a professional team: Years of experience as a software engineer would be an easy way to check this box, but not the only way
• Experience with C, PHP, and Linux shell scripting (Bash) is a plus
• Experience with Git or other source control systems; a public GitHub presence is a plus
• B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is desired
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

 

Your responsibilities will include utilizing your skills and talents to perform the following successfully:

• Writing code, providing estimates, technical specifications, source control, and unit testing
• Collaborate with the team to deliver quality code; participate in design brainstorming sessions, technical design reviews, and functional walkthroughs
• Provide technical support for customer production issues
