We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager for our La Porte, TX facility. In this role, you will plan, direct, and oversee key operational areas including packaging, storage, shipping and receiving, traffic management, and facility housekeeping. You will ensure smooth daily operations while implementing best practices, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a culture of efficiency and collaboration. As a pivotal leader, you will bridge management and operational teams, driving performance and continuous improvement across the facility.

To be successful as our Operations Manager, you should have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in management) or equivalent experience; solid operational management experience in a similar environment.
  • Solid understanding of operational procedures, quality manuals, and Katoen Natie software relevant to the role.
  • Ability to pass the required medical physical and be physically fit to meet the demands of the role, including transportation and handling tasks.
  • Solid problem-solving, reasoning, and mathematical skills; ability to interpret instructions and manage a variety of operational variables.
  • Fluency in English (read, write, speak) to communicate effectively with teams and management.

 

As the Operations Manager, you will:

  • Oversee daily operations across packaging, shipping & receiving, technical departments, and housekeeping, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and compliance with procedures.
  • Manage administrative and operational planning, including scheduling, performance evaluation, KPI monitoring, reporting, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop your team, fostering continuous improvement, teamwork, and employee engagement, while addressing issues, implementing ideas, and ensuring training needs are met.
  • Food/Feed warehouse responsibility (if applicable): Ensure adherence to General Rules for Food & Feed Handling, supervise team compliance, and oversee recall procedures for administration and operations.
