SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the servicing activities of Workforce Optimization (WO) client retirement plans with service providers other than Insperity Retirement Services (RS), internally classified as Outside Recordkeeper (ORK) plans. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides ORK servicing subject matter expertise to applicable Insperity departments, clients, service providers and other team members.
  • Researches and resolves escalated operational and inquiry calls from clients and Insperity departments as it relates to ORK plans.
  • Researches ORK plan types for WO clients sponsoring non-401(k) plans for legislative changes that require payroll system (AIMS/DefCon) updates.
  • Acts as subject matter expert to RS Technology in the testing of fixes and new functionality for AIMS/DefCon deployments.  Performs full ORK plan regression testing for each deployment to ensure that new enhancements do not impact existing functionality.
  • Works with other Insperity departments on data extracts and imports to and from 401(k) vendors, including quality assurance review of data sourced from AIMS/DefCon.
  • Works with RS Technology and Insperity service teams to continuously improve efficiency and accuracy through automation, identify and improve processes, utilize industry best practices, and protect Company from liabilities due to errors from incomplete and/or inaccurate data.
  • Works with other Insperity departments on all ORK related issues.
  • Manages the design, development and implementation of ORK service offerings to meet the business objectives of the Company.
  • Audits DefCon ORK calculations and RS ORK WIRE reports to ensure confidence in the integrity of the data, including the consideration of system and process changes that may affect data dependability.
  • Runs monthly audit reports for data validation; facilitates/executes corrections as warranted.
  • Monitors NetSuite client management system for reporting metrics, milestones and statuses of ORK plan activity and monthly invoicing.   
  • Manages the 401(k) ORK Team Mailbox for work assignments.
  • Quality reviews ORK plan setups and client associations, as well as Retirement Services serviced plan implementations.
  • Reports required statistics on ORK related activity to RS leadership monthly.
  • Assists manager in driving ORK product development. This includes forms design and updating, standard communications and marketing collateral.
  • Works with report developers to assure accurate client reporting of both standard and custom reports made available to clients on Insperity Premier.
  • Documents and maintains efficient processes and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. 
  • Four or more years’ experience in the retirement services field is required.  One year of experience specifically related to retirement services/payroll integration is preferred..
  • Understanding of the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) field.
  • Understanding of payroll functions and calculations.
  • Communicates tactfully and effectively, orally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.  Ability to articulate in a clear, concise and professional manner.
  • Aptitude for analyzing data, identifying discrepancies and reconciling data in order to successfully troubleshoot systems issues with minimal supervision and within established guidelines.
  • Ability to research regulations using a variety of resources. 
  • Solid understanding of qualified plans and IRAs, including ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Organizational and planning skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and ability to multi-task.
