SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading benefits related interactions with external and internal customers by consistently exceeding expectations during new Middle Market client onboardings. This position maintains a lead role for benefits information and processes for key client contacts, researches and formulates responses to complex benefit issues, ensures Insperity and clients are in compliance with benefit laws and regulations, and delivers orientation presentations in person and virtually to worksite employees. This role also serves as a leader on benefits projects and interprets benefits and related policies and guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages multiple client onboardings without compromising service while adjusting approach to achieve desired results and ensures a seamless benefit transition.
- Maintains a lead role for benefits information and processes for key client contacts by ensuring operational benefit processes are followed. Seeks to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively and makes effective, timely, and informed decisions.
- Researches and formulates responses to complex benefit issues that could impact the client relationship by proactively reviewing possible issues that client or employee may encounter regarding benefits. Identifies and formulates a relationship with the client benefits contact.
- Ensures Insperity and clients are in compliance with benefit laws and regulations by preparing clear, concise, and well-organized communication and presentations using Health & Welfare Legal approved language. Attends all benefit related trainings.
- Travels frequently, often with minimal notice, to deliver orientation presentations in-person and virtually to worksite employees to help them onboard to Insperity and make informed choices about their benefits.
- Serves as a leader on benefit projects and ensures completion of objectives by making effective, timely, and informed decisions. Maintains internal relationships ensuring the timely exchange of information.
- Interprets benefits and related policies and guidelines accurately for service operations and clients by performing and documenting all benefits related tasks associated with successfully onboarding a new client. Ensures all client benefit contacts complete the benefit administration training.
- Ensures appropriate due diligence is applied to clients’ unique circumstances (i.e., COBRA takeovers, deductible credits, transition of care).
- Educates and ensures that clients gain a broad knowledge of policies and procedures regarding all benefits and serves as a trainer on new and existing technologies and benefits products.
- Communicates information in a concise manner via multiple presentation channels.
- Addresses challenges within the presentation setting while maintaining a high degree of quality and professionalism.
- Remains engaged with the client during the entire implementation to ensure that all client and employee needs have been met and all information provided is concise and clear.
- Recognizes issues and determines actions needed to advance the decision-making process.
- Researches issues while escalating appropriately to internal/external entity for timely resolution and recommends benefit solutions through partnering with internal/external partners.
- Identifies trends and makes recommendations for improvement which includes data and facts.
- Identifies root causes and addresses problems in ways that lead to innovative solutions.
- Provides information regarding implementation to team members based on client interactions and observations relevant to ongoing service needs.
- Collaborates with internal partners to remain updated on new laws and trends.
- Recognizes external/internal risks and develops alternatives.
- Demonstrates mastery of all Insperity Plan Documents.
- Identifies and implements improvements and innovations that increase efficiency and enhance work quality.
- Acquires and applies new knowledge and learning to improve processes.
- Generates ideas, explanations, or solutions to address current and future challenges related to benefits.
- Anticipates needed action and consistently suggests process improvements or different ways of thinking.
- Ensures action Items are completed and documented in required systems with all details for easy follow-up.
- Leverages relationships with Health & Welfare, internal service teams, and vendors/carriers to better understand the ‘WHY’ as it relates to all Insperity Governing Documents
- Ensures full collaboration and partnership with ongoing service team to design and implement benefits training agenda based on most frequent or re-occurring issues – bridge the gap through effectively educating clients and internal service teams.
- Serves as mentor, Subject Matter Expert, or project team member to improve the performance of processes or people.
- Analyzes benefit information supplied by clients and worksite employees.
- Reviews reports and documents that impact benefit coverage and shares relevant updates with team members and clients.
- Participates in prospective client meetings to provide overview of benefit plan options.
- Monitors benefit enrollment and assists clients regarding incomplete benefit enrollment/change documents.
- Supports process and audit efforts to ensure integrity and accountability for Sarbanes-Oxley, ERISA, and HIPAA compliance.
- Provides backup support to team members as required.
- Exercises continual, timely communication to teammates, Manager, Orientation Onboarding, Payroll, and Service Team Members on the status of relationship with client.
- Facilitates benefit presentations to worksite employees either in person or by phone web-conference as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five to seven years of work experience in customer service, HR Onboarding, or Benefit Administration, or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience with Insperity or PEO Industry is required.
- Five to seven years of experience in healthcare claims and benefit administration is required.
- Bi-lingual candidates is preferred.
- Group Benefit Associate (GBA) certification is preferred.

- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in an efficient and timely manner.
- Demonstrates consistent follow-up on client and internal request and needs.
- Uses Microsoft Office programs proficiently (Intermediate required, advanced preferred) and demonstrates ability to learn other application programs as needed.
- Travels up to 50% of time
