Senior Tax Manager
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Manager to oversee and manage comprehensive tax compliance, reporting, and advisory functions across a multi-entity, multi-state organization. This pivotal role requires solid expertise in federal and state taxation, partnership and corporate income tax, indirect taxes, and ASC 740 accounting, while collaborating closely with accounting, legal, and external advisors. The Tax Manager will play a key role in shaping tax strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements across the organization.

To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MST strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, advisory, and/or corporate tax departments.
- Solid technical expertise in ASC 740, partnership taxation, and multi-state tax compliance.
- Demonstrated experience managing SALT, property, and indirect tax matters, with the ability to oversee external advisors.
- Solid project management, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax compliance or provision software a plus.
Your responsibilities as the Senior Tax Manager will include:
- Income Tax Accounting & Reporting: Prepare and review quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions, deferred tax schedules, and financial reporting disclosures.
- Federal, State & Local Compliance: Oversee income tax filings for partnerships, S corps, C corps, and 1099 reporting, coordinating with external advisors as needed.
- SALT, Property & Indirect Tax: Manage state and local tax obligations, including sales & use, franchise, commercial activity, property, and ad valorem taxes, ensuring timely filings and payments.
- Tax Planning & Advisory: Support tax structuring, acquisition planning, intercompany transactions, and Tax Receivable Agreement compliance.
- Process Improvement & Stakeholder Support: Maintain tax documentation, enhance compliance processes, support SOX controls, and coordinate with executives, legal, and treasury teams.
