Supervisor, Sales & Business Development

We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Sales & Business Development to join our team. 

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting the management, development, and oversight of the activities of the Sales & Business Development Representatives (SDR & BDR) to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the programs are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, or other specifications.

Responsibilities: 

  • Supports the development and execution of Sales & Business Development strategic plans and initiatives to include the implementation, monitoring, and performance management of goals that align with corporate objectives, increases market share, achieves revenue targets, and increases profitability of existing products and services.
  • Oversees activities and provides leadership, guidance, training, and direction to the Sales & Business Development Representative team ensuring business objectives, employee performance, and development goals are met.
  • Collaborates with internal product and marketing personnel in the development and management of Sales & Business Development promotions, programs, and account activities.  
  • Aids in the design and development of campaigns that will introduce Sales & Business Development initiatives to generate leads and customers for all Insperity products and services.  
  • Researches, creates, and compiles lists of prospective clients based on information from business directories, industry research, trade shows, internet web sites, and other sources.  
  • Coordinates Sales & Business Development training design and implementation with stakeholders.
  • Establishes, prepares, and maintains Sales & Business Development reporting to include forecasted sales and revenue goals, actual results, and partner trend reports for presentation to management.
  • Tracks effectiveness of Sales & Business Development programs, and recommends pricing, promotions, and programs to meet sell through and return on investment goals.
  • Works with internal constituents to track program activities, establish reporting to analyze, and measure metrics from Sales & Business Development engagement activities and ensure customer satisfaction.  
  • Investigates and resolves Sales & Business Development issues.  
  • Builds and maintains relationships with other departments to facilitate and accomplish team goals.
  • Makes hiring recommendations through a targeted selection process of behavioral interviewing.
  • Develops, coaches, and trains team on the culture and job expectations.  Communicates expectations in a way that helps the team understand how their work contributes to the business objectives.  Has an in-depth understanding of team roles to attain quality results.
  • Provides employees with timely, candid, and constructive feedback, endeavors to develop employees to their full potential, recognizes and rewards employees for accomplishments, conducts regular one-on-ones, and prepares and conducts annual performance reviews.
  • Builds inclusive and collaborative relationships with team and peers to achieve common goals.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or four years of related work experience is required.
  • Three to Five of experience in Sales and/or Sales & Business Development is required.
  • Supervisory experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and coordinate development activity with the Sales & Business Development team and stakeholders.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate staff to attain positive performance and achieve goals.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline with multiple accounts and partners.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate assigned programs related to marketing activities and implementation processes.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office™ and other appropriate software for tracking and managing partner details, activities, and timelines.
  • Demonstrated wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment, familiar with modern office methods, practices procedures and equipment.
