Director of Sales

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the Sales Department team to drive profitable revenue and market share growth with Distributors and Direct Customers both domestically and internationally. You will also develop overall market specific strategies and a tactical implementation plan to establish and monitor existing client relationships, create new business partnerships, generate new ideas for product development and improvements.

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or related discipline.  Strongly prefer a Master’s or MBA.
  • Experience in planning, developing, and implementing a marketing/sales plan.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; the ability to exercise good judgement with a capacity of communication with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others; ability to think ahead and plan over 1 – 5 year time span.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Demonstrated track record of high-performance teams and a strong team player.
  • 1-3 years of sales or cold calling experience preferably within the healthcare/pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
  • Excellent phone personality, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Experience working for an FDA manufacturing company preferred.

Your responsibilities as the Director of Sales will include:

  • Domestic distributor account management with an emphasis on increasing product units sold per sales forecast.
  • Develop new business opportunities including OEM
  • Support and increase sales to existing accounts.
  • Manage and train sales staff in an effective and professional manner.
  • Create reports on customer feedback and research industry trends and developments.
  • Travel to trade shows and key accounts.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as directed by management and supervisory personnel.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment with an emphasis on teamwork.
  • Assist in maintaining the corporation quality system.
